Civic education training of trainers
Training & Peacebuilding · Central Equatoria
A note on these pages. GMI was incorporated in October 2025. The engagements below are drawn from the capability model in our company profile and show exactly how the three pillars work together. Named client case studies will be published here as assignments complete and clients consent to publication.
The challenge
Civic education reaches further when it is delivered by trainers from the communities themselves — but only if those trainers are properly equipped and supported after the workshop ends.
Our approach
- Needs assessment and co-design of the curriculum with the commissioning partner.
- Training of trainers combining facilitation skill, subject content and conflict-sensitive practice.
- Practice sessions with structured feedback, so every trainer delivers before they leave.
- Post-training follow-up, coaching and review of the first cohort of community sessions.
What changes
- A pool of trainers able to deliver without external facilitators.
- Materials the partner owns and can adapt.
- Documented lessons feeding the next round of delivery.
How we would run it for you
Every engagement follows the same six steps — understand the context, assess needs and capacity, design the response, deliver practical support, transfer skills and systems, review and learn. Scope, methods, roles, deliverables and indicators are agreed before work begins.
